How can I get involved in the G2N community?
Let us count the ways … there are so many things you can do to get involved.
- Do you like to write about natural/organic living? –Submit a Blog to us and if it fits our criteria, we will publish it. If you submit more than 10 blogs to us, you can become a Going2Natural Community Blogger and have your bio and picture on our team page, including any links to existing blogs or businesses that support the same mission as Going 2 Natural.
- G2N is always looking for good people to join the team so email us: email@example.com to see if there are any volunteering or internship programs open in our various departments, which include Social Media, Public Relations, Community Works, Editorial, Support and Operations.
- We also have a Going2Natural Facebook Discussion Group, where we have a community of people supporting each other on how to live a natural life on a budget. We talk and post everything from food to fashion.
- Do you love yoga? Well we have a great resource page called Go2Yogis where you can share your yoga journey by submitting a blog.
- And last, but not least, word of mouth and sharing our blogs: Our team and bloggers work very hard to bring our readers credible information that will really help people live a natural lifestyle on a budget. So sharing is caring.
Who does G2N donate to?
This is our first year selling products, but we will be donating a percentage of our profits to various nonprofits, like Village Volunteers, which helps underprivileged young women in Africa and India finish school, and The Urban Farming Guys, which promotes healthy and organic living. We hope our donation list will continue to grow as our cooperative does because we believe sharing the love and giving back is one of the keys to having a successful business.
What makes our organic and wild-crafted products more affordable than comparable items?
G2N is able to keep our costs lower than the organic industry standard because quite honestly, we take a profit cut in order to pass the savings on to you. We also are able to cut costs by growing organically through social media outlets and word of mouth through our family, friends, and loyal customers instead of spending big bucks on advertising.
Unfortunately, the organic, natural process involves higher costs than industrial production, so it is no wonder organic quality costs more. Most companies aim to command a selling price at least five times their production cost. A lot of other companies typically mark up their product’s overhead to cover costs for marketing and storefronts as well.
G2N believes what goes around comes around, and we appreciate our loyal customers. We make products as affordable as possible so that more people can enjoy high-quality personal-care products. We only have one skin to live in and everyone deserves great natural products at a great price.
What ‘green’ certifications does G2N currently have?
We are certified through the Organic, Wild-crafted and Natural Association (OWN) and we are currently in the application process to get certified by Green America and Leaping Bunny.
Do I need to register before placing an order?
You do not need to register before placing an order. You may register as soon as you have finished shopping or check out as a guest. Our registration process is fast, free and will save you time for future purchases.
What are the benefits to registering and joining the G2N community?
- You will not be required to reenter your shipping or billing addresses every time you order online. Whenever you place an order, it will be delivered to the registered address on file, unless you direct us otherwise.
- You can browse, shop and, if necessary, complete your order at a later time. We will keep track of the items you’ve already put in your shopping bag so that when you come back later, you will not have to re-select the items again. Note that placing items to your shopping bag for purchase at a later time does not guarantee item availability.
- We email G2N community discounts once per month not only for our products but also for our partner organic and natural companies. This is a bonus for registered customers. G2N is always finding ways to save you money.
What are the benefits of using organic personal care products?
Our skin is a sponge and the biggest organ in our body. Do we really want to bombard it with synthetic fragrances, preservatives, and harsh chemicals? That is exactly what happens when using most conventional products.
Using organic personal care products benefits our skin by providing nutrients directly to our body, promoting healthy skin inside and out. They also help us avoid harmful chemicals that our bodies are not meant to absorb, helping our skin be the best it can be; exactly how nature intended.
Is there really any difference between organic and non-organic products?
Yes, organic products are not grown and/or produced with artificial chemicals, genetically modified organisms (GMO), hormones, or antibiotics. Non-organic items are produced with at least one of these processes if not all of them. The non-organic processing of products is harmful to both you and the environment.
What are wild-crafted ingredients?
As a sustainable practice, herbalists gather roots, leaves, and seeds at the correct time of year during, their highest potency. These ingredients are called wild-crafted because they are free from pesticides and harsh chemicals.
Are all natural products really as effective as conventional products?
Yes, most natural and organic products work just good if not better than conventional products. But there will be a transition period your body goes through while it is ridding it’s system of harsh chemicals. Organic products do not rely on harmful chemicals, genetically modified organisms (GMO), hormones, antibiotics, or other damaging ingredients in their production. By using organic products, you avoid harmful foreign ingredients while enjoying the health benefits of holistically paired organic ingredients. By living a natural lifestyle, you improve your health, which reflects in your skin. The skin is the largest organ of your body, and when you choose organic and natural products, you feed your skin the nutrition it needs to stay healthy.
What can I expect when switching from conventional to organic products?
If you are switching from conventional to organic products, there will usually be a detox period, depending on what products you are currently using. For example, if you are switching from a conventional lotion with alcohol in it to a concentrated body butter, you will find that you don’t need very much of the body butter to get better results than your lotion.
Diet and lifestyle also play a role when switching to all natural products, but we are here to support you. So please feel free to send us an email to firstname.lastname@example.org or a Facebook message with any questions you have, and we will do our best not only to answer your questions but also to support you along your new natural journey.
